All footloose staff are trained to give you the best fit for your boots, shoes or sandals, it’s what we love doing. We love shoes and we love feet. We’ll help you find the perfect match.
Philip is the founder of footloose Franchise systems, and the director. He started as a schoolboy in his father’s shoe store over 45 years ago in the toe and heel plate room. Philip has grown up in the footwear trade. His career has been spent in both retail and manufacturing, with positions held both in New Zealand and overseas. In the mid 70’s Philip worked in the Morrow Taylor group, manufacturing in the Newmarket factory producing over 3000 pairs a day, also in the Stones shoe store (Queens St) with a staff of 31. By the early 80’s at the age of 28 Philip had taken control of his father’s company, Prydes footwear, over the next 10 years Prydes grew to three stores and in 1993 grew into footloose. In 2001 footloose began the franchising of its stores and grew from 5 in 2003 to the 21 today.
Footloose, now in conjunction with the supply company 2 direct Ltd, works with its NZ wide franchisees in the largest group of its type in NZ, providing best trade opportunities and best retail practices. Today footloose has evolved to a modern E company with global reach, servicing a broad varied customer base and supply network. And so, the journey continues.
